Below are the three ways by which you can do the check-in and receive your boarding pass:

  • On the Website: Visit the airline’s official website and click on the ‘Check-in’ option. By entering the required details like the ‘Reservation Number’ and ‘Flight Number,’ you can receive your boarding pass via email, or you can also print it in case you need a physical copy.
  • Through Mobile App: Download the Air France mobile app on your smartphone. You can quickly do the online check-in on the go, and get your digital boarding pass on your phone. Also, you don’t need to print the boarding pass when doing check-in via the mobile app.

At the Airport: Another way to do the check-in is at one of the airport’s interactive kiosks or the check-in counters. Enter your details and follow the steps to print your boarding pass right away.

The airline charges you for any excess baggage which is not within the limits. And the fee charged depends on your destination. Below is the allowed limit for all types for bags for which there are no charges.

Hand Baggage

If you are traveling in the Economy Class cabin, you are allowed to bring one handbag with dimensions not exceeding 55 x 35 x 25 cm (or 21.7 x 13.8 x 9.9 inches), and one personal accessory, with dimensions not exceeding 40 x 30 x 15 cm (or 16 x 12 x 6 inches). Also, the weight of both hand baggage and the accessory must not be more than 12 kg or 26 lb.

For passengers traveling in either of the travel classes, Premium Economy, Business, or La Premiere cabins, two hand baggage and one accessory item are allowed. Please note that the combined weight of all the three items must not exceed more than 18 kg or 40 lbs.

Checked Baggage

Depending on your travel cabin, the limit of checked baggage varies and you can check-in up to three bags, adhering to specific size limitations. Like for Economy cabin, (except Light fare), 1 checked baggage item weighing up to 23 kg / 50 lb is allowed. In Business cabin, 2 checked baggage items weighing up to 32 kg / 70 lb each are allowed. Checked baggage must not exceed 23 kg / 50.7 lb in the Economy and Premium Economy cabins or 32 kg / 70.5 lb in the Business and La Première cabins.

If you are a Flying Blue Silver, Gold or Platinum, or SkyTeam Elite or Elite Plus member, you are entitled to 1 additional checked baggage item at no extra charge. However, the permitted weight depends on your travel cabin.

Your checked baggage item must not exceed 158 cm / 62.2 in (a + b + c), (including pockets, wheels and handles).

Oversized and Overweight Baggage

If your checked baggage item exceeds 158 cm / 62.2 in and is within these dimensions- 300 cm / 118 in, you will have to pay additional fee at the airport, the amount of which varies depending on your trip.

Cancelations are based on the fare conditions of the tickets you have purchased. These conditions appear on your booking confirmation. And the online refund is available if:

  • The ticket you have bought permits refunds with or without a fee, or
  • You have purchased your ticket at least two days or up to 12 months before today’s date, and you haven’t got the boarding pass yet.

In case of tickets bought directly from the Air France website or any of its ticket offices, you can cancel your booking online within 24 hours of the purchase at no extra cost. But, in case of reservations done through a travel agent, you are advised to call them directly for refunds.

Please note that the refund amount is calculated based on the ticket fare conditions (excluding non-refundable service fees).

For cancelations made on the same-day (before midnight), your bank account will not be debited while for the cancelations made within 24 hours, but after midnight, your bank account will be credited with the full amount minus non-refundable service charges.
