Flight Route

  • Enter ‘From’ (Source), To (Destination), choose the Arrival/ Departure from the drop-down menu, fill in the flight date to check the latest information of your flight.

Flight Number

  • Enter your flight number, Arrival/ Departure and flight date to find out the current flight status.

Fill in the Airport Name, Arrival/ Departure, and flight date and click on the ‘Search’ button to get the desired information.

You can get your boarding pass in three ways:

Web Check-In

Web check-in opens 47 hours before the scheduled flight departure. This is a fast and convenient option to check-in and for getting your boarding pass. Please note that check-in deadlines depend on the various factors such as airport and traveling class.

At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, web check-in closes:

  • For business class: 30 minutes before the final departure.
  • For economy class: 40 minutes before the flight departure.

Self-service kiosk check-in option is available on Vienna International Airport. Enter your 6-digit reference number or any other kind of identification. At the kiosk, you can pick adjacent seats for up to three travelers. Late-night check-in option is also available at Vienna International Airport for luggage check-in. The opening hours for baggage drop-off are 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, and 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Austrian Airlines has defined a baggage allowance limit along with some restrictions according to which an additional fee will be charged for the overweight baggage. These additional prices depend on the route, baggage dimensions, and traveling class.

  • It starts from EUR 15 for domestic routes in Economic Light Tariff class (advance sale) for maximum 23kg and maximum 158cm and can go higher depending on various factors. For a complete list of baggage fee, you can visit here.

Depending on the route, the fee starts from:

  • EUR 70 to EUR 250 for an additional piece of baggage.
  • EUR 110 to EUR 400 for baggage, which is too heavy or too big.
  • EUR 150 to EUR 550 for extra baggage which is too heavy and too big.

Carry-On Baggage

You can bring one carry-on baggage (two for business class travelers) on-board that weighs up to 8kg with maximum dimensions of 55X40X23cm. This carry-on baggage must be stored either under the seat in front of you or the overhead bin. In addition to this, you may carry another personal item with dimensions up to 40X30X10cm. Checked Baggage

Checked baggage must not exceed the maximum sum of dimensions, which is 158cm (L+B+H). The weight of the baggage depends on the travel class, route, and age of the traveler. Overweight Baggage

Baggage exceeding 32kg and whose sum of dimensions is more than 292cm will not be accepted at the time of check-in. Also, for baggage exceeding the sum of dimensions of 158cm, special transport conditions will apply, and you have to fill the contact form to list additional items.

For flights within Austria, you will have to pay:

  • EUR 40 for piece per 23kg to 32kg or 158 to 292cm
  • EUR 80 for piece per 23kg to 32kg and 158 to 292cm

  • The airline allows you to cancel your flights within 24 hours of reservation. Please note that service fee already collected will not be refundable.

Sure, but there are certain terms and conditions that must be taken into consideration.

  • Cancelation must be made within 24 hours of the flight reservation.
  • If your flight is delayed by 5 hours or has been canceled, then you can cancel the flight and get a refund. In other situations, the refund will depend on your chosen fare.
  • Refunds will be available only if flight booking is made directly from the Austrian Airlines official website.
  • Please note that some promotional fares are non-refundable; however, several other types of ticket are. Several carrier charges, taxes, and fees are refundable if no coupon is used at the time of booking.

You can go on a vacation with your four-legged friend as Austrian Airlines permits you to bring your pets on-board. But certain conditions are applicable to their pet policy:

  • Your pet must be at least 12 weeks old (16 weeks for flights to/from the USA).
  • You can take a maximum of two healthy animals in the container; however, their weight and size will decide whether they can travel in the cabin or the cargo hold.
  • Your pet must not weigh more than 8kg, including the container, and the maximum container size is 118cm (55X40X23cm) for the animals traveling in the cabin.
  • Transportation charges applied depends on the route, weight of the animal, and dimensions of the container.

For domestic flights

  • EUR 50 is applicable for the transport of pet in the cabin up to 8kg and a maximum size of 118 cm².
  • EUR 80 will be charged transport in the hold up to 60X45X40cm.
  • EUR 160 is applicable for transporting the pet in the hold that exceeds maximum dimensions of 60X45X40cm.

Yes. Austrian Airlines permits you to make changes to your flight reservations.

  • Visit ‘Manage my Booking’ section and enter your booking reference code and last name as used while booking.
  • Online rebooking option is also available through which you can change flight date, booking class, and flight time; however, this option is valid up to 24 hours before the final flight departure, and is available for bookings with completely OS flight numbers only.

For your convenience, Austrian Airlines gives you the facility of advance seat selection. With this option, you can choose an extra legroom seat, Austrian privacy seat, and seat in the preferred zone.

Extra Legroom Seat

  • You can book a seat with extra legroom at the time of reservation. This facility is available up to 48 hours before the flight departure.
  • You will have to pay extra charges to avail this service. The price depends on the flight route and starts from EUR 25 for Europe including Armenia, Morocco, and Iceland.

According to the Austrian Airlines unaccompanied minor policy:

  • The age of children flying alone must be in between 5 to 11 years.
  • Children between the age of 12 to 17 can also travel alone on their parent’s special request; however, no special attention will be given to them in the case of irregularities without supervision service.
  • While making the reservation for an unaccompanied minor, parents must have to provide name, address, and contact number of the adult who is going to receive their child from the destination airport.
